Where to play golf

Costa del Sol as many of you already know has some of the most challenging and beautiful courses in the World. With over sixty courses stretching along the coast from  Malaga to Sotogrande coupled with the amazing climate, golf can be played throughout the area all year round.

The Elite of the Golfing world are drawn to our World famous courses such as Valderrama and San Roque which are set in the most beautiful locations of Andalucia. We have listed below some of these in detail with direct links for you to view a book directly.

Valderrama Golf Club

Valderrama Golf Club that is ranked at the very top of Golf World Magazine’s Top 100 Courses of Continental Europe for the past 15 consecutive years, Valderrama happens to be the most exclusive private golf club in all of Europe. No expense is spared in building and maintaining an immaculate course, an extravagantly impressive clubhouse and a club that respects the traditional values of golf like no other outside of the inner sanctum of the most traditional British club. Valderrama is a golfing shrine and every golfer should make the pilgrimage.

San Roque Golf Club

The San Roque clubs forms one side of the golden triangle of Spanish golf along with the world famous courses Sotogrande and Valderrama. The course has played host to the PGA European Tour Qualifying School for many years. The heart of the San Roque Club is golf; golfers can choose between the demanding par 72 of The Old Course, the original course designed by Dave Thomas, that winds through cork oak forests with superb mountain views - or The New Course created by legendary American course designer Perry Dye. Both courses provide beautiful and challenging holes for players of all handicaps.

 Sotogrande Golf Club

The Course RSGC is considered as one of the masterpieces of Robert Trent Jones who chose this course as one of his five favorites from more than 500 courses he designed worldwide according to what he wrote in his book GOLF – THE MANIFICIENT CHALLENGE – published in 1988.Officially opened in 1964 Sotogrande was the first course Trent Jones designed in Europe and is blessed with his design philosophy, which consists of building courses perfectly integrated with the natural surroundings which are a great challenge to the better players, but accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Nothing describes better a round on Sotogrande than these words. It is a fascinating course for players of any level and retains all the natural beauty of the land.

 La Reserva de Sotogrande

The La Reserva opened in 2003 and was designed by the prestigious architect North American golf course designer Cabell Robinson. The 6,721-metre 18-hole par 72 course is a fantastic challenge for any golfer - both professionals and amateurs - thanks to its numerous tee options and imposing, fast greens that allow for a wide variety of pin positions.Unquestionably a spectacular experience nestled on a unique estate that enables golfers to enjoy some magnificent views of the mountains and down to the sea. These surroundings are accompanied by a no less majestic clubhouse where both members and visitors can enjoy an array of comforts, excellent service and an attractive menu in a setting that inspires tranquillity.
